Job Description

Drive the development and maintenance of cloud-native platforms, overseeing the end-to-end software development lifecycle, with a close eye on technical architecture, code maturity, performance, resilience, scale, and security
Oversee technology risk management and cyber hygiene practices
Lead, mentor, and manage a distributed team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous learning
Establish and maintain engineering best practices, standards, and methodologies to optimize team performance and efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business, Product, Design, etc) to define project scopes, requirements, and timelines, ensuring alignment with company goals and priorities
Participate in recruitment efforts to expand and strengthen the engineering team

Skill Sets and Requirements

Helicap is looking for a hands-on Lead Engineer to manage our revenue-generating Fintech platform (Big Data Credit Analytics and Investments) and technology operations.

7+ years of solid, hands-on experience in architecting, building, and maintaining complex scalable platforms
Prior experience in building cloud-native platforms from the ground up
Very strong statistical analysis and problem-solving skills (candidate would be managing a complex credit analytics platform)
Demonstrated success in project management, delivering complex technical projects within scope, on time, and within budget
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferably a prior experience with the following tech stack and infra: Golang, ReactJS, MongoDB/PostgreSQL
Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native data-lake & big data architecture
Terraform, AWS/GCP
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, managing multiple priorities effectively

Bonus Points:

Prior experience of working with Fintech or other Tech start-ups
Prior experience of working with cloud-native Big Data Analytics platforms
Good understanding of DevOps, cyber security and technology risk management practises
Good understanding of Finance domain
